I always wished he’d keep Hyperpower into Beginning on the setlists, but he does seem to give a different YZ track a big hug and updated rework each new tour. Vessel got it this past tour, even heavier than the first version. He keeps reminding us how relevant the album still is
First Sunn O))) show, first real contact with their music too. Loops with 32 db foam over those and topped with headphones helped me protect my ears. Satisfied with the whole thing.

Megalopolis rewatch today and was thrilled when this video came on during Alamo Drafthouse’s pre-film content! I’m still working out my opinion. I like it, but bits also make me laugh. The recording of Coppola discussing the film at The Texas Theater in Dallas just back in the summer was nice.

No luck at Austin Film Fest screening of Hamnet w/ a Lone Star badge, 30 minutes pre-show, laughably inadequate - ALL 300 seats gone - so I’m spending time bonding with the new foster, a sr gal who has been neglected. I’ll see that film next month tho it was the reason to get this year’s badge 😭
