My family and the Arizona racing community suffered an immense loss on August 1st after the tragic and unexpected death of my cousin Caleb. We were quite distant, but I'm just beginning to understand the kind of man he was. I want to share, celebrate and honor the 30 years he spent on this planet.
I forgot to mention that this did, in fact, pass emissions testing and celebrated by spilling its cooling system into the street immediately upon its return home.
The fire backed right up into the property and a neighbor reportedly came in last night and was doing structure protection and saved some houses.
I love my $600 yard ornament. Maybe someday it'll become more than that, but for now, it's fine.

The Medline warehouse fire in Tracy is absolutely monstrous. It's a total loss of a 1 million square foot warehouse. I can imagine that's going to create some severe logistical impacts for medical procedures across the region for some time. Clearly visible on radar.
Pretty sure my new shock cartridge is moving around inside the strut of the 940 creating a terrifying clunk every time it transitions between compression and rebound.
Got my work cut out for me today. Going to try and mate the supposed good lower unit to my original upper unit and do the impeller and seals. Most of that can happen in the garage later when it reaches the mid 80s. For now I'm going to grab the polisher and finish that PITA job under my canopy.

The neighbor helped me get the boat pulled up to the curb and now I can get the rest of the oxidation off of the starboard side of Delta Decay. I was also able to get the upper unit off and inspect the bellows and gimbal bearing. The bearing can wait but the bellows need replacing.
Really quite impressed with how Davis folks treated us for blocking this intersection to fan over this five-door Viggen on BBS RKIs like a bunch of kids looking at a hypercar, but then again it's literally called Compassion Corner and also LOOK AT THIS SAAB!
This one recently sold for I think 15 grand. Probably one of the nicest C70s on the West Coast
