Jimothy has hit Roku City, and I'm choosing to embrace this with utter whimsy, because fuck it, it's cute and I'm tired.

Roku Ciry, the official screensaver of Roku, which is bathed in glorious bisexual lighting (heavy pinks & purples w/some deep blues) - I've cropped it to a single bit of a building, on a city street, an old brownstone-y type, multi-story, with a tree, a bench, and a single-bulb streetlight like Fred Astaire would dance with. Jimothy, Seattle's raccoon summer mascot, is trotting by probably looking for snacks.

I have officially entered into my yearly match to the death with the pollen count.

Just pulled this off the blocking mats - so happy with it! (pattern & yarn info in alt txt)

A hand-knit top, with stripes in a green/pink yarn and in a grey ombre yarn, the grey has a soft v-pattern lace to it, and the multicolored yarn is green-dominant, with flashes of bright pink

the pattern is Lace and Fade Boxy, and the yarn is from knitpicks Hawthorne line - Mississippi and Slate

Two things to know about Babka: 1) His very favorite thing is being brushed. 2) When we first for him, he had a hurt leg, so we had to bribe him to take meds. He now does "hurt paw" when he wants things. I'm brushing MY hair & this is my view

Love weird & different takes on cranberry sauce? May I offer y'all my cran-pear-ginger chutney recipe? (haters... shh, enjoy your weird canned jello).

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup apple cider
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/8 cup finely chopped peeled fresh ginger
1/8 cup finely chopped candied ginger
2 tsp grated lemon peel
2 tsp grated orange peel
1/2 cup raisins
1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
1 12-ounce bag fresh cranberries
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2-3 firm pears, peeled, cored, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (about 1-1.5 cup, to sweetness preference)

Combine apple cider vinegar, cider, onion, ginger, lemon peel, orange peel, cinnamon stick pieces, crushed red pepper, and ground cloves in heavy large saucepan. Boil mixture until reduced by half, (about 10 minutes). Add everything else, stir until sugar dissolves and reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer until pears are tender and berries pop, and flavors blend, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; discard cinnamon stick pieces. Using potato masher, mash mixture coarsely. Cool, chill, eat.

How my hyperfixations tend to manifest: Cast on to on the blocking mat in ~36 hours.

I bought a skein of this GORGEOUS yarn at Flock & Fiber a few weeks ago, with zero idea what to do with it other than snuggle it. Random stash diving came up with this off-white speckled sock yarn. Put together, this might be the prettiest thing ever (yarn/pattern in alt txts) #knitting 🧶
