At the Open today at Birkdale. Honestly, what a golf course. Here's a rare pic of me, on 18th fairway (before being told to get off it!)
Dubrovnik is a great place (tho slightly preferred Dubrovnik. Great mix of ancient Roman and medieval architecture, and a beautiful waterfront. This is now a major party destination by all accounts, as confirmed by all the attractive young people milling around. Oh to be young again..
Ancona today, nice traditional Italian Port City. Good mix of ancient and medieval buildings. The Arch of Trajan,2000 years old. Love a bit of history (and a Catherdal).
So, Venice today. First time visit and only a few hours there, so ticked off some key sights. What an amazing City, will definitely come back for longer next time.

Currently in Dubrovnik Old Town. Wow! What a stunning place! Favourite stop so far.
Kefalonia today! I predict a day of pottering, interspersed with ice-cream, food and drinks. Some turtles here apparently, so will try and track them down.
An afternoon in Taormina in Sicily. Stunning place, rather warm though. Time to get back on that shop for refreshments!
Valletta today, much nicer than i anticipated. Highlight was St John's Co-Catherdral. Spectacular place. Have to have a bit of culture before the evening food and booze fun.
First port ot call. Early observations, beautiful place and some proper greedy fuckers at' buffet.
Can thoroughly recommend Plymouth Barbican for a few afternoon beers in the sun.
I think someone needs to check the passports of the Afghanistan Under 19 team. (Still hope they beat India though.
