Merging a hobby with my day job. I collect antique microscopes and microscope slides. The mid-to-late-1800s were a golden age of amateur microscopy. Numerous professionals prepared high-quality slides for that large market of hobbyists. "Ixodes from tortoise", prepared ca. 1890.
