I dont think I have enough text to describe the images. Transcription:

bubblymaika's (aka HeartofNova) art journey 2010-2026

2010-2014 - Very early art. Switched programs a lot. Settled on Paint Tool SAI eventually. Lots of practicing because I wanted to be an art major then.

2015-2019 - Experimenting a lot more with colour, texture, and poses. Less active towards 2020. I drew art for Smogon during this time.

2020 - Pandemic + essential worker = minimal art

2021 - Still very busy and most works are from ArtFight.

2022- Began switching to SAI 2

2023 - Friendship ended with Wacom, now Huion is my best friend. Kirby hyperfixation dies down.

2024 - EXTREMELY STRESSFUL YEAR. Very few completed pieces. COTL hyperfixation starts

2025 - Art has kept me sane. COTL fixation motivating me like mad to improve and I'm actually happy with my work now.

2026 - Branching out more with gore & NSFW now that I'm less self-conscious about them.

Onwards to the future

WOOLHAVEN SPOILERS - Illustration of an anthropomorphic kitten (Aamon) kneeling in front of an anthro sheep (Sariel from Cult of the Lamb). There is a statue made of rotting flesh in the background. Aamon is knelt down before the priest, sobbing and holding their hands together in prayer/pleading. The eye in the middle of their forehead is glaring at Sariel, suspicious of his suddenly kinder demeanor. The old sheep's arms are open and they are smiling, but there is something *off* about him

Look, I was expecting the lambs to have hidden war crimes, but not an apocalyptic suicide plot. Sariel is an interesting character to me. He's pretty much the priest who's devoted his entire life to his god, only for something to happen (in this case, Yngya dying and Woolhaven being destroyed) that results in him losing it because he no longer has a purpose. Hence, him being all in on the Rot to the bitter end; its murder-suicide on his end because he has nothing left. Worth noting he outright says he has no idea what to do now after everything that happened. Frankly, being stuck in the remains of Woolhaven for eternity is probably hell for him (in the sense he'll be constantly reminded of his sins and can never move on).

Ok character ramble aside... since they're both part lamb, Aamon and Camellia would need to be sacrificed as well. Aamon is the one the disciples are (for the most part) less conflicted about once they learn they're Narinder's child. Sariel is essentially convincing Aamon to follow him into the mountain so they can be redeemed.

Yeah woolhaven is fucked and I love it. This is my kind of horror.

The second is Aamon using Flockade pieces to recreate their favorite stories and legends. Their crown eye is judging their storytelling, while Camellia is trying SO HARD to resist the urge to topple Aamon's snow castle.

Most of my sketches start out like this and I tweak things as I go along. Ultimately decided to go for hairy spider legs in lieu of the bandaged legs in Allocer's official art. I also made Aamon and their Crown a lot more terrified to emphasize the amount of danger they put themselves in. Very much "the risk I took was calculated, but man... am I bad at math" vibes.

Side note, Allocer looks like it'd fit in a metroid game. Reminds me of Yakuza from Fusion.
