My reaction to that information:

A Dragon Quest slime (blue with the signature goofy smile) with yellow tentacles beneath it, somewhat reminiscent of the roots on the bottom of a green onion. Or maybe like pasta a bit? Same as the "helpful" slime in the original post photo. The eyes are also yellow, unlike the usual white eyes of a DQ slime.

The King of Fighters 12/13 games slightly predate the 3DS's launch, but are interesting examples of the incredibly rare phenomenon of true HD sprite art. I'd argue this wasn't for any "retro" reason, and instead an unusual use case of then-modern tech, with the artwork clearly targeting 720p

I've made my Linux Mint install look like macOS since 2018 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Linux Mint Cinnamon desktop with Zombieland Saga's Franchochu as the wallpaper. They are all laying together on the ground in an orbital. The theme looks like late Mac OS X, when the icons got flatter but still somewhat skeuomorphic. It's very cozy and warm!
