A 14-year global collaborative embroidery project, The Red Dress was conceived by British artist Kirstie Macleod to provide a platform for individuals—especially women in vulnerable situations—to tell their stories through embroidery.

Constructed from 87 panels of burgundy silk dupion, it holds a Guinness World Record for the largest collaborative embroidery project.

Captured this little moth to put it outside. Looking back at me with big black eyes, feathery feelers and spindly legs. Delicate mauve tint to the underside of the wings and a fringe to the base of the wings.

Displayed on the handout for Understanding Crochet Socks is, indeed, said sock. Top down construction in green yarn. It has a ribbed top, heel and cinched toe. Fit for a grinch or a xmas stocking for Precious. Dodgy as part of it is inside out, missed a turn 😣
