And then there's incredibly dated stuff like this that makes me want to grab him and shake him because I know he can do better.

It's wonderful to read old Dr. Who comics and see the early work of tons of eventual mega-stars. This page by Steve Moore and Steve Dillon is particularly great.
In a way, this claim on the back of Brubeck's "Jazz Impressions of Eurasia" is correct. We still don't have a way to reproduce music that's "better" than super high quality vinyl.
Maybe this is a little too romantic, but I love finding personalizing marks in old comic books. It validates the philosophy that these stupid, wonderful contrivances are meant to be enjoyed, and it makes me feel like an active participant in the history of the medium.
It's wild how good Supreme is. The fact that it's basically Alan Moore's apology for "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?" just adds so much meaning to it.
