I've always wanted one, though perhaps I would start with a 36" before trying the big boy.

Well that's me angry at people for a bit.

A yew tree that I estimate to be at least 100 years old, that has been previously cut back has had a large section of its bark damaged and removed by people enjoying the Corstorphine Fair.

The depth of the damage has removed the living pith so will seriously affect the tree and leave it open to rot and disease.

Stones that may have been used are next to the tree.

A secondary stem of the same yew tree shows further bark damage by persons unknown.

This is less serious and the tree should be able to heal it.

Got to say hello this little dude today. Think they had not long fledged from a nest in the hedge above. Seemed to be calling to their siblings or parents in the hedge.

Has been a thing since the early days of railways. There was one on the Firth of Forth before the bridge was built.

Death and taxes and delivery drivers being selfish are the only sure things in life.

Heads up if you come off the tram line cycle path at Bankhead to head to South Gyle. South Gyle access road is going to be closed for the next month or so due to surprise hole in the ground. #EdTravCyc

Your diagnosis of silicosis and bad back are not work related...

Two workers in orange hi viz clothing lean out of a red basket suspended from a crane that is off camera. Ear defenders are worn but no face masks for dust protection are worn.

It's fun having a white dog when the weather is minging! Not pictured is the black dog that's just as filthy but doesn't look it.

Think it's just the standard flight path to Lossiemouth from the south for RAF. Doubt you will see the castle from 32000ft with the cloud cover but if your flying anyway, sure why not. 😉
