So this elderly dude, who is supposedly at death's door, had a good day today. He not only nearly escaped out the front door, but managed to steal a strip of bacon. He had to be locked in his room so we could have dinner. He is unashamed. Quite proud, really.

Today in feline TV watching: the little doll is watching someone make a little dal.
I am looking forward to seeing this poll breakdown on the next election. Looks like the over 50 group is slowly becoming disenchanted.
Garden update: the lettuces are popping their buttons. I may have to just harvest and eat them. Just added some herbs and dianthus. The slowest nightshade veggies are up and barely showing true leaves.
Max wants you to know that ICE sucks, and also that it sucks that he can’t have tuna (even if he did get his own smashburger for dinner last night).
Penny is really into the half-pipe competition. How hard could it be to ride some cardboard off the top of the cat tree?
Penney is a big fan of Kam and O’Shea. She came racing in so fast when they came on, she nearly fell off her cat tree.
So my cat just made off with a chunk of lettuce from the compost bag. (We had Vietnamese food for brunch. There was undoubtedly a slime of fish sauce and pork juice on it.)
When I was a kid, we had a little book called "The Pushcart War."
It’s too early for planting most garden stuff, but here are some early things: leeks, several kinds of onions, chives, lettuce, lemongrass, and a tray of sunn hemp greens for the bunnies during the worst of this weather.
More foodie timeline cleanse: I had leftover Banh Xeo batter, so I made some for lunch. OMG, I’m addicted!
Achievement Unlocked! Made Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Sizzling Pancake). It came out tasty and crisp, and did not stick to the pan. My new Misen pan was perfect because it could take the heat.
Had healthy Vietnamese food for lunch, so baking a hot fudge pudding cake for dinner.

You know, when an immigrant church or org has a fundraiser, supporting and connecting with your neighbors can be yummy.
