May I offer the rage inducing interiors of the Butterfly Building on Nelson. Not only is the main bedroom an aquarium, but if you have a two bedroom, the ensuite bathroom has a floor to ceiling glass wall (with some wood slats in front) looking into the shower & has no door 🙃

A few years ago I passed by the paediatric dental office when I was heading home from the gym and had to do a double take seeing this in the window 😶 Not sure if it’s there to “reassure” the kids or terrify them into good oral hygiene. It was joined by a friend a few days later.

A horrible little tooth-goblin stuffie that has been shoved between a seat and a glass window so the nose is pushed in. It has a purple, yellow, and green body, four arms, two legs, and antennae. It's cock-eyed and has a set of human-like teeth in it's mouth. The designer may have been on a bad trip when creating it.

The new friend is also shoved between the seat and glass. Its body is purple and orange, and it only has one set of arms and legs. The eyes appear much more focused than it's companion, however it too sports a set of human chompers and both of them will provide some poor child a traumatizing core memory.

I always love Pride Month, but in Van it really kicks into gear at the end of July. So we get most of the summer full of rainbows & a celebration of our community.
