The Orchestrator approaches Ingrid. Her free hand is turned outward.

ORCHESTRATOR: to maintain the system i have created i will pay any cost without hesitation. i am the bearer of the heaviest yoke. no one understands this more deeply than i. there is nothing more precious to me.

Ingrid glances off to the side.

ORCHESTRATOR: and if i may say one final thing:

ORCHESTRATOR: i understand the guilt you feel.

Ingrid stares at the ground. Memories of the most important people in her life flash through her head: Izzy, Rudeboy, her father, and even Nathan Discord.

ORCHESTRATOR: in the deaths of the fisher siblings. and of your father. you believe in your heart that you are cursed to spread misery to all around you.

Looming over Ingrid, the Orchestrator places a hand on her shoulder.

ORCHESTRATOR: i offer an opportunity to cast that burden aside. you have carried it for such a long time.

Ingrid clenches her teeth. The look on her face is intense. When she speaks, the bubble fades from white back into her usual red.

INGRID: Okay. Do it.

With the way the Orchestrator's head is bent, she almost seems to be smiling.

INGRID: Can you really...

Camera pulls back and we see Ingrid in full. She's deactivated her magic and returned to normal size. Her hair blows in the wind.

INGRID: do something like that...?

INGRID: Like none of this even happened...?

ORCHESTRATOR: i see now that convincing you to join me was futile. yet i will forfeit your power for the sake of the cycle. the world must be protected from itself.

Like none of it happened

Back in Nowhere. Ingrid, still fully bulked-up, is staring down the Orchestrator, who is looking much worse for the wear. Her TV screen head is shattered and dented, her weapon arms are torn off, and one arm has come loose from her straitjacket.

ORCHESTRATOR: heed my words ingrid gottoli. you have utterly defeated me. i am weaponless and you are connected to the entirety of nowhere's power. there is nothing that i can feasibly do to oppose you now. this i acknowledge.

Establishing shot. Ren-Anji and Rudeboy are still chilling in the room near the bottom of the sewers, when suddenly Mallory comes flying up through the hole in the floor.

MALLORY: guys! that big wall of static... it's gone!!!

Close-up on their faces. Ren-Anji's eyes widen and Rudeboy tilts his head quizzicaly.

Rudeboy lands with a splash at the bottom of the hole Mallory from which Mallory had just emerged. Mallory and Ren-Anji follow behind him.

This room was where Izzy and Ingrid had their final confrontation with Nathan Discord. But now none of them are anywhere to be seen.
