Just finished this book retrieved from my local library. (1951) Pretty funny and great characters. A novel of its time, reminds me of Waugh.

John Ryland Library Manchester. Very nice place with lots of historically significant books in an amazing building. Including a Gutenberg printed colourful book. Different from the Liverpool Central Library but equally impressive.
I bought these three yesterday at a quite cool used record store in Manchester. £6 each but he charged me £10 for the lot. He also had a butcher cover lp in nice shape and a White album #265. Goo Goo Gajoob.
It was 50 years ago today 🎵. Wings over Canada. I can’t really describe how cool it was to see Paul & Co.
Sunny Lyon, apparently the Beatles only played here once and the venue is long gone. Nice place and none of the tourist hordes of Paris. Bloody tourists! 😉

Got this from a local shop a few weeks back. Great price too. Really cool imho, made in Germany 🇩🇪 so it should sound great.
