No one in 🇪🇺 is against AC. It’s just that, until now, we haven’t needed it north of the Alps. We do have warm spells, but they are short-lived. And when they happen, we prefer sitting in a beer garden under 🌳-AC. Berlin is as far north as Calgary and Oslo—farther north than the southern tip of 🇬🇱.
That is „cool“ without a AC: Nothing is stopping you from visiting a beer* garden. *beer is not mandatory.
Back when I was still riding my trike, everyone always asked me if it wasn't too wide for the city. Sure—your bike is only 10 cm wide, after all, because your frontwheel is 10 cm wide. The same logic seems to apply here.
