Happy birthday to Bugs Bunny, who made his official first appearance in the Warner Bros. short 'A Wild Hare' (released on July 27, 1940). The famed rascally rabbit can be also spotted in our permanent collection such as in this animation cel from a 1960s television ad for Kool-Aid.

Happy 90th birthday to the famed Big Boy restaurant chain. Beginning in 1956, the eatery's iconic, suspender-wearing mascot starred in 'The Adventures of Big Boy,' a free, long-running promotional comic book whose early contributors included Stan Lee, Bill Everett, Sol Brodsky, and Dan DeCarlo.
