Magnolia stellata. 2nd October 2025. Some sort of fruiting bodies and the leaves are sad, burnt brown. It's a beautiful old shrub, about 2m in every direction, last 2 yrs (since we moved here) has had wonderful spring flowers. But looks SO sad. Comments? 🌱
My 'trash garden' still getting the sun, but the figs are shitting down for the winter 🌱
Erin and Gemma dock-diving at Canine Dip & Dive, near Norwich, UK. It's HOT HOT HOT.
Oh nooo, so horrible. It's been so long since really torrential rain here, we haven't tested our new French drains and soakaway, to deal with our floods (see pics). Yes, 20°C, but v windy.
Haven't eaten broad beans since giving up our allotment, must be 6 years at least. These have been lovingly tended in a bed in our new front garden at the bungalow. 1st crop 25.5.25 deliberately picked small for flavour; seed planted 10.24. 🌱
Dip and Dive 🐕 at Centre Paws, Wymondham - Gemma and Erin having fun.
Such a fascinating read. Learnt a lot! The author is a really interesting individual, too. For US followers, he was in the US Navy and then in NSA. Having retired in the UK, he has spent the last 9 years volunteering at Blickling. Met him on the front steps last year, a real suprise!
Making fortnightly visits to Raveningham Gardens in south Norfolk, UK. This really shows how the plants change with the seasons. 🌱
After 70 mins on Sea Palling beach, watching common scoters while they romped with tennis balls and their dog- besties, they have been asleep since 12.01 (lunch snack was at 12.00). It is now 15.10, last walk is at 15.45, just *ugger off!
