Just saw a photo (itself old) of my floppy discs for my undergraduate modules. I currently feel about a million years old.
Palaeography help please! This is from 1852 census in the occupation column. Next to sempstress we have this. My brain is saying 'Husband poor House' BUT that would be plausible enough for me to mistrust that I am making it say that. And would they say that in that column?
Just in case you think it's all talk. I think the Daily Worker sign will be Exhibit A.
I have also bought some fabric samples from them, with the wild idea I will make something from them rather than just gaze lovingly at them occasionally and hope that I were rich.

I have never been in the interior of Pugin's St Mary's Catholic Church until now. It is astonishing; the smell of candles and incense massively comforting. Four candles lit for the ill and the lost. #tinyjoys

Just given notice on my rental of ten years. It's a lot at a time of officially 'a lot'. Very glad to be moving into our own place and will be happy not to have to deal with many things, but I will miss a lot, especially the yard.

So much to do and finish this weekend, but the cat and I are starting with the same energy.
Current process - have etched the outlines and halfway through the aquatints. Next week this print will look dramatically different. It teaches patience.
This blackbird sunning itself will be tried out with several etching processes and it's genuinely soul-enriching.
