The bridge is back! For now at least? There might be more smoke incoming later? (PurpleAir AQI in the area is around 60.)

Today's view from this cam - maybe not quite as good as yesterday? but the PurpleAir monitors are around 175 so it should be better. Maybe the changed angle of the sun from getting the picture a couple hours later makes a difference?

Today's view from this cam - obvious improvement from yesterday but still really terrible. For what it's worth there aren't a lot of PurpleAir sensors in the vicinity but the nearest ones seem to be in the neighborhood of 200; the 15th and 16th were around 500.

meanwhile whoever dressed Colman Domingo gave him colors - were they trying to make him into a Mondrian-but-not? it's terrible. it's the worst thing I've ever seen him in. Maybe if it lost the belt? Maybe if it had the same percentage of black diamonds above and below the belt? HE DESERVES BETTER.

"In recent interview Natalie Holt, the show's composer, said Tom Hiddleston gave her a book of poetry he'd been reading to get in the mind of Loki.
He was reading TS Eliot's Little Gidding. Or at least TS Eliot in general.
He says part of this quote in the final episode.

At first I thought it was part of the Lokasenna, because Holt had mentioned the choir singing it as well in the soundtrack and the fact that he literally builds yggdrasil in the final episode. But apparently not.
Wow, that's quite a departure for getting into Loki's headspace considering he's said he used Poison by the Prodigy.
And if you've ever read TS Eliot, much of it is a very melancholy, which totally fits with how Loki's story has ended at the moment."

I know we're grumpy at Tim Walz about ICE, but this was that. Universal free meals at school is about the best policy designed to help people I can think of. There's almost nothing I'd rather have my taxes pay for.

It all kind of comes down to a phrase, that meant enough to me that I basically accepted a dare to get it tattooed on myself in a language that is not my mother tongue. It's the only ink I've got and if I add to it it will be the same phrase in more languages. WE CREATE, THEREFORE WE LIVE

if it bothers you that it doesn't match the vision in your head? try it again, keep trying it, and eventually it will come close (but probably never actually get there, if the people I know whose main hobby is art are to be believed).
