This is the best explanation I have seen. So many times it is presented as magical where suddenly we have all this heat and then in the El Niña years, the heat just disappears. The explanations confuse people about the cumulative increase in heat over time. Your writing is important.

Text that says: What happens during an El Niño, in the simplest terms, is that the pool of warm water that normally sits in the western Pacific, piled up there by the easterly trade winds, sloshes back toward the east. When those trade winds weaken, that enormous reservoir of stored thermal energy spreads across the equatorial Pacific and begins releasing heat into the atmosphere on a planetary scale. The atmosphere responds, the jet streams shift and rainfall patterns reorganize. Droughts appear in places that normally get rain and rain falls in places that are normally dry. The global average surface temperature ticks upward, usually by a tenth or two of a degree Celsius for the year.

ERIC is a non-profit, bipartisan program to check for voter registrations when people move, both in-state and cross state. It started in 2012. Oddly, many red states chose not to participate in the program. When people say nobody checks registrations, they are lying.

Trump came in at a sweet spot where the investment dollars came in after the CHIPS Act and Inflation Reduction Act raised investment. Those jobs will be up in the next 2 years. This is how Trump could claim that ground breakings were already taken place his 3rd month in office.
