years ago I saw an exhibit on pompeii and was transfixed by the funerary statues recovered from the ashes. this is not my photo, but coming face to face with these beautiful memorials made me feel like time was literally collapsing. somebody loved this person, missed them. two thousand years ago
It's once again time for me to extol the virtues of the "Laura Palmer," a refreshing blend of lemonade and cold brew coffee. summer is officially here and the best pie I made tonight was an onion, bacon, and garden chive that is absolutely screaming for some crema next time to complete the baked potato vibe. honorable mention goes to this sweet corn and garden snap pea bianca that we drizzled with some local honey
