Spectacular: Jim Jarmusch's new film is Father Mother Sister Brother, a 2025 comedy-drama triptych exploring estranged family relationships. A cinematic treat as well as compelling story lines.
Brilliant film from 2008: The film continuously brings up the phrase "The end is built into the beginning", which refers to death's connection to birth. This is emphasized by how most of time is spent being not yet born or being dead, and how life is a fraction of a second in comparison.
"Saturday Night" doesn't get great reviews, but it's FUN! We need some fun right about now. Watch it.
Cooked(2016), which examines the primal human need to cook and issues a clarion call for a return to the kitchen in order to reclaim lost traditions and restore balance to our lives. Another beautiful Alex Gibney documentary.
MUST SEE. Separated is a 2024 American documentary film, directed and produced by Errol Morris. It is based upon Separated: Inside an American Tragedy by Jacob Soboroff. The film explores the Trump administration family separation policy.
