Also, I am hoping that Lou City’s defensive struggles combined with SAFC coming off three-goal scoring performance means I’m finally going to see them score in an away game tomorrow night. This is my current away game record 😛

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched Space month for my movie club made me realize I am very picky about space movies. Or possibly just a hater 😛 I did actually enjoy rewatching the Martian though. The Odyssey was fine! No discourse from me. Congrats to Ludwig on his next Oscar for Best Score.

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched A surprising hate watch (this is why you don’t let someone with familiarity of cologne commercials direct a film…), two fun rewatches, and a new (to me) favorite! I had been told Galaxy Quest was a blast, but it exceeded my expectations. Never kill a sea bird!

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched An “I contain multitudes” assortment if ever I saw one. A documentary short, an animated classic (whose animation actually looks shockingly bad in 2026 tbh), a Pride Month pick, and genuinely one of the best film endings I’ve ever seen.

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched Justice for the winter lamb! Interesting to rewatch Sleeping Beauty for the first time as an adult. Maleficent still slaps, the art is incredible, but man, the love story is so underwhelming. As for Wuthering Heights, Emerald Fennell should be tried at The Hague.

Visited three new-to me bookstores in East(ish) Nashville for #IndependentBookstoreDay. The best part of going to indie bookstores, for me, is having a more interesting poetry selection than you get at mainstream bookstores. Also was pleased to find a novel I’d been interested in out in paperback!

My email to the club is a little more succinct that I would normally be, but it felt like time was of the essence (if not already too late). I hate that the club has put the fanbase in this position that we have to mount an email campaign to demand basic decency. #NoToDeZerbi

I am writing to object to the potential hiring of Roberto De Zerbi as manager of the Men’s senior team. It is my firm belief that such a hire would be a complete betrayal of the club’s values, not to mention the harm it would cause to the many supporters who are survivors of sexual assault and abuse. At a time when toxic masculinity is rampant in the sport, the club should not be hiring one of the worst apologists out there. De Zerbi has openly and unashamedly advocated for Mason Greenwood during his time at Marseille, despite the clear video and audio evidence that was seen by the world showing that Greenwood is not a good person, no matter what the law has to say about him (and a reminder here that lack of conviction /= justice done). The club should have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to violence against women, but De Zerbi has turned a blind eye to credible accusations. I, along with many other fans, would worry about the types of characters De Zerbi would bring to the club as players and/or assistant managers.

I would also like to voice my concern that a troubling precedent was already set at Tottenham Hotspur many years ago when Yves Bissouma was signed while he was still a person of interest in a sexual assault case. That signaled that the club was willing to take a legal risk for the sake of sporting gain, regardless of what was or was not known behind the scenes. The message to the outside world, including us fans, was clear. It was wrong then, it remains wrong, and it cannot be repeated.

The men’s team will lose so many fans if this hiring goes through, myself included. I am glad that the club previously listened to fan concerns around Gennaro Gattuso in the past, and I fervently hope the same respect for the fanbase’s feelings and values is shown in saying no to De Zerbi.

We all saw the video. Greenwood will remain a target of controversy b/c he shouldn’t still be in the sport at all. Anyone willing to defend him despite the visual evidence available is lacking in character, & I don’t even want to think about the ways he could ruin Spurs Men’s team culture & values.

“He is a player of an extraordinary level,” De Zerbi was cited by La Provence as saying, after Greenwood scored twice on his debut. “I am happy that he scored, as that way he will be less of a target for controversy.”

In November, 2025, De Zerbi said Greenwood was a “good person” and added: “It saddens me what happened to him because I know a very different person from the one portrayed in England.”

I did not realistically see Spurs winning the CL so I’m not too stressed about getting knocked out, but it was fun to briefly believe we could get back in it. Excellent fight from the players today. Cool for Callum to make his CL debut. And we’ll always have this reaction pic 🥰
