I’m sceptical of economic planning (I’m a market socialist) but if it’s to be a thing, it must be indicative and have workers’ input, either by trade unions and/or workers’ councils. I get the need for centralised coordination but over-centralisation and technocracy can be bad.

I’m currently re-reading Noel Thompson’s Political Economy and The Labour Party. It’s an interesting book on Labour Party history, focusing on the various currents of socialist thought that shaped its economic views. The last time I read this was in 2019, when I was 17.
