We walked from Dufton to Garrigill (Pennine Way) on Monday (stunning walk) and the last bit was on a grouse moor. There were signs not to interfere with ‘legal traps’ not sure what they were trapping? And it felt like they had laid the stoniest road surface they could find to deter walkers!
Pennine Way - Dufton to Garrigill Top ten hiking day. The blue sky and 360° view on Cross Fell were glorious 💙 I have been wanting to go past Greg’s hut for a few years now, so it was lovely to see it in sunshine and walk past in shorts. I don’t suppose there are many days you can do that.
