UK based reader, runner, gay. Spend too long in charity shops. Leftish.
9 years ago I went on a first date to Costa Coffee with someone called after an Ewok. It worked out ok. In my wedding speech, I talked about going to M and S afterwards and buying knocked down cockles and and eclair. Thanks to Google photos, I have evidence.
Morning. 'A knocked down chocolate eclair'. This isn't an entirely random choice.
Running before the heat returns tomorrow. Actually very nice out. Song of the run: Kylie Minogue, The One (Freemasons mix). Thanks to @gjpcmd.bsky.social for the tip.
Morning. Chazzer choice. Done an A for Aye, which the valet has described as 'basic'. Married life is great in case you're wondering.
Morning. 'It's your face going back to work today.' Can confirm the accuracy of this depiction.
Dragged myself out of bed to check the bridges are still there. Phew. Song of the run: Slayyyyyter, Beat up Chanel$
Morning. 'Spiderman' says the valet. He's off to see it at 9.30, while I procrastinate about a run.
Post holiday chores day come down. But these sunflowers were a good investment in joy.
Morning. 'It's our house because we are back home again, though it looks nothing like our house.' Back to life, back to reality.
Last one of my faux book posts for a while alas. Book 7, which clearly I won't finish but good to have something for the plane.
Final breakfast and decided to have an omelette? Whyyyy didn't I try these earlier? I'm a fool.
The valet won a game! He is very excited and for once the prize is not a bottle of cava.
Morning. Guest appearance by a boiled egg. 3 minutes my arse, it was harder than concrete.
Book 6 up. 10.30 and I've just seen a waitress bring someone a Pina colada. Not me, by the way.
Sadly no horses or pigs on my run today, so here are some of the nice rustic gates and fences along the run. My content is incredible, I know.
Morning: fairly restrained breakfast this morning. Even got vegetables. Might have a yoghurt and granola chaser though.
Well. Finally finished book 4. 900 pages of heaving boobs, bushes and every horrendousness you can imagine. But bloody hell I couldn't stop reading it. Delighted to leave this in the hotel library.
The valet's not been able to express his artistic urges through coffee, so TUI laid on an art class for him. Meanwhile I had a drink. But we got a nice sunset photo.
