Some choice photos from Lucha Libre last night. Was a special event: Mexico’s CMLL vs. the US’ MLW. The Americans were really good sports about playing heels, and everyone was clearly having a lot of fun. We managed to get near ringside seats, and the stunts were super impressive up close!
While boating on Xochimilco, you’ll find various boats selling food and snacks. If you buy from them, they’ll sail alongside you until the transaction is done. Your boat doesn’t even need to stop.
Took a boat ride through Xochimilco, a large remnant of the lake Mexico City was built on. Went to the ecological zone, which was quieter and had a bit more wildlife. Visited an axolotl sanctuary while there, and met the owner’s very friendly cat.
The Templo Mayor Museum in Mexico City is a fascinatingly direct way to see the effects of colonialism. It features the unfortunately sparse remains of Tenochtitlan, as much of it was scavenged by the Spanish for building material.
