Update on my Brindy girl who is doing about as well as she can be 🩷 I'm a sad and anxious bundle of nerves but we are making do.
I responded to a reddit post and...oh golly I love men telling women to just like, talk to the guy with the gun. Just be courageous! 🙄
Kiddo moves out in a month. Sure, there is some layered feelings but mostly I'm just so very excited for him. This makes my heart happy though.
When I come out to the living room at 6am to start working, she always follows me within a couple minutes. Bruno usually stays in bed a good bit longer but she's gotta be where I am, even if she isnt right next to me. We are tired but we are together.
My velcro pup is by my side tonight too. We are just waiting til 11 when Brkndy has her next meal so we can go the fuck to sleep 🥱 and then wake up at 5 so she can eat again. Phone calls in the morning to get her appointments scheduled.
Brindy isnt a snuggler. Not really anyway. She has to be in the same room as me, always...but she isn't usually directly next to me in bed, or on the couch. But when she lays her head on my leg, or stomach...it feels so special that she chose closeness, in that moment.
I havent eaten much or slept well the last couple nights. I have a bad headache...but a couple of hours ago this was us 🩷 I think a nap will be in our future. Brindy is quite tired but I think all in all, doing as well as I could hope for. Tomorrow I will call my vet as soon as they open.
Home with Brindy girl. She is tired. We will do a small meal at 11 and then try to get some sleep. The emergency vet at 9pm on a long weekend was a sad place to be so I am extra thankful she is home. I am crying so much for her, and for all the kindness flooding in from you all.

Just saw two different groups of brown people working outside. One group was digging line, the other was doing repavement of a parking lot so hot plus fumes. Not a single white person to be found. Did they take their jobs or were they the ones willing to do the very manual labor in this heat. 🤔
