Spent my weekend being a part of a busy moms village. Kept these two for the weekend and we had a blast! Today I turn them back in and get ready for another busy week of changing the world… Thank goodness for the weekends!
Spent my Kanata Day sewing with my sister for our grandchildren. Had a great time visiting and (Cree)ating here in Treaty 6. Hope to post photos someday of those sweet littles rocking the ribbon skirts.

Last year my sister welcomed her first grandbaby. Her name is Violet. My gift to our babies is their moss bags. Today we collab’d and she made a ribbon skirt for her gbaby with leftover material. And I made her gbaby a dolly in a Mossbag 💜 Can’t wait to see her toddle in this!

Another #Mossbag for another sweet little Chapan. The word for Great Grandparent is the same as the one for the Great Grandchild. The story goes that these generations took care of eachother while the in betweens hunted/tanned/built/harvested. Translates into one who leads/one who follows.
Today I sew and pray my seam ripper sees little to no action! Making something special for a brand new Great Grandchild! In our culture, when your sibling has a grandchild, that grandchild also addresses me as their grandparent. Well! One of the grandkids had a baby! So I am a chapan (GGMa)
