I was reminded that Disney Dreamlight Valley exists and logged in for the first time in nearly 3 years.
I was looking through my books and forgot I had this. You'd expect a book from 1999 to be worn, but it's in such great condition. It's fun to see the singles prices from that era, too.
Black cat chain (Say hello to Han. He would like you to show him your hands so you can pet him for the rest of time.)
I think my Facebook algorithm is trying to tell me something. I'm unsure what.
Cleaning up my old pictures, I came across a recipe for the Ultimate Cheesecake. Years ago, we came into someone's entire TTRPG collection and their old character sheets were included. While going through them all, one of them had an inventory item called the Ultimate Cheesecake. Then we found this.
I was jump scared this morning by the first Facebook post on my timeline: a suggested post made using AI, with no context, trying to sell me horse semen.
I feel like I'm having a stroke. This was suggested to me on Facebook, clearly AI messing up. The comments (full of nothing but bots) are all talking about it like this isn't an AI slop image. Plus the post had a real address in it? And this is ok to serve me out of nowhere? What the absolute fuck.
I'm guessing someone in marketing saw the backlash and had the art subtley rearranged to hide a couple of the more egregious issues for the official Nintendo eShop key art.
I tried to read a Polygon article and gave up half way due to ads. They already got my click, but this is gross and someone should feel bad that this is their UX.
Finished up my Castle of Cagliostro piece. The Lupin model is based on art from the Japan only game "Lupin the Third: Densetsu no Hihou o Oe!" I couldn't find a matching version of Jigen, so I also based him on a Lupin pose from the same game, fully customized. The rest is entirely custom-made.
Found a great liminal space during our date today. For reference, I was outside of the mall and this is all you could see in this slim window and the only door says No Exit.
A starting point. I recreated the Lupin the 3rd sprite from a Japan only game, Lupin the Third: Densetsu no Hihou o Oe!, and the background was hand created, loosely based on a great shot from Castle of Cagliostro. I plan to recolor Lupin the the green suit and create a custom Jigen and their car.
Teaser for my next pixel art project while I'm on vacation this week. Anyone a fan?
Got pics of some local duckies a week or two ago (the first pic). Then, I saw the cute family yet again like a week later (pics 2 and 3).
We took our nearly 16 year old baby to the vet today and he received a clean bill of health. Everybody, congratulate Han!

I don't technically work in games currently but I talked my boss into buying me Mastering Community Management by @victoriatran.bsky.social to give me some continued education as a community person. I've barely cracked it open and can already tell this was a good decision and will be very helpful.
The new Aldi opened up near us and they had a gift card golden ticket giveaway, which we both got. Apparently I got the max on mine. The cashier said I was the first $100 to come through her line, as all she had seen was $5 ones. I feel like I need to buy a lottory ticket now.
I should mention that @lukemckay.bsky.social did technically do one of me many years ago, back during my Professor Chime days. Still one of my faves! I do need a modern pic as this was like 8 years ago, apparently.
I voted in the Anime Awards. Last real chance MHA has to ever win these, so I did my part.
Been having fun teaching myself pixel art (slowly) by learning off old obscure Pokémon sprites from very obscure games/consoles. Here's a custom one I did from Pokopia recently, which I'm really proud of.
This feels like a threat. Like a creepypasta that never took off.
