Random observation but the colours on the time zone map work so much better than the lines. 📊
They seem to like, de-like, and re-like this post repeatedly. I get notifications of it maybe twice a day for about 2 weeks.
Every year I design a menu for a midsummer a dinner with friends and this year it was heavily inspired by this project.
A less controversial way to use a scatterplot than last time. Interesting details 📊 - Use of profile pics - Rotating tooltip (live version) - Use of blue and red for labelling and arrows - Alphanumeric labels for axis - All grey, no black - Y axis only uses even numbers - How they manage an overlap

It blows my mind that this thing is 27 km long and crossed the Swiss and French border four times. Source: www.bbc.com/news/science...
Nothing like a good chart comparing projections vs actuals. We need more of these! 📊
I worked on a farm in the 90s and this was our truck. The car was used by the family to go around and run errands. Vehicles do not need to be that big, even for people who actually do the work.
Watch the video for the details, but here is their list of reasons for this adjustment.

We just attended the virtual ceremony, accompanied with a small bottle of champagne 🍾 (and cookies) Delighted to see @helenajambor.bsky.social 👋 and happily surprised to see design superstar Stefan Sagmeister, who also won an award. Information designers everywhere 🙌🏻

The author is a single person who seeks economic research to business. He describes it as "contrarian intelligence", which is a good way to sell in a crowded field. It also creates incentives to cherry pick data.
Oops, I was wrong. The charts have appeared and they are delightful.
Things you hear only at VisionPlus. - What do you do? - I’m an information designer. - Oh, me too.
I’m at Symbol 26 in Vienna. It is about ISOTYPE, which was originally called the Vienna method of pictorial statistics. 📊 If I find the time to post, it will be in this thread. 🧵

Vienna, here I come. I'll be attending these two conferences on information design on May 27-29. I've only been to dataviz conferences so far and this is a bit of an indulgence to see what's going on in this section of the field that's also very close to my heart.
