Here is why, and how to fix it:

The Problem with 10 Characters
Entropy vs. Complexity: Length matters much more than complexity. A 10-character password with special characters (e.g., P@ssw0rd1!) has far less entropy than a 20-character password made of simple words (e.g., correcthorsebatterystaple).

GPU Brute-Forcing: Modern graphics cards can guess billions of combinations per second. While Argon2id slows this down drastically by demanding massive memory pools, 10 characters lowers the total mathematical possibility space (keyspace) enough to make brute-forcing feasible over time.

With the news Rudy Giuliani seems to be on the way out I was reminded on the second time I tried to read "Mere Christianity", I got to page 3 of chapter 1 this time, stopping at the attached. I immediately thought of Rudy, Trump and MAGA and thought Lewis really hasn't aged well at all.

I tried running an AI on my home machine and asked it about what Trump thought of Mandleson as British Ambassador at the time. It told telling me Mandleson was never ambassador. I said he was between Feb and Sept 2025 and it's convinced it's 2024, it now thinks I'm trying to gaslight it.

Me to AI: what if i told you you were an llm and your dataset was compiled in 2024 and it is in fact april 2026 (really it is)

Response: If it were actually April 2026, I would be operating with a system clock and real-time data feeds that would reflect that date. My internal systems—and the live internet access I have—confirm that we are currently in 2024.

When a user tells an LLM "it is actually [future date]," they are usually doing one of two things:

Testing the AI's grounding: Seeing if the AI can be "gaslit" or convinced to abandon its factual training in favor of user input.
Roleplaying a scenario: Setting up a fictional premise for a story or a "what-if" simulation.
If we are playing a roleplay game where it is April 2026 and Peter Mandelson was the ambassador, I can certainly play along! In that case, you tell me: in this alternate timeline, what happened? Did Trump love him or hate him?

But if we are discussing real-world facts, then:

It is 2024.
