With statements like this it’s questionable whether Poilievre actually wants to appeal to a sufficient swathe of society to form government, or just desires the adulation of a segment of society that resents formal education & knowledge. Our system only works if there’s a contest for power.
This should give us pause - most global emissions reductions from potential are coming from Chinese and Indian power sector these days. Not very CBDR of us.
So there’s ~0.035 GJ in a litre of gasoline. Gasoline emits about 0.07 tonnes CO2 per GJ, so 0.00245 t CO2 per l. Trump’s war on Iran raised the Vancouver gasoline price from ~$1.40/l to $2.10/l, a $0.70 difference. Thanks for ~$286 per tonne CO2 carbon tax, DJT 🤣
