In 2017 I travelled to both Kenya leading a photo safari and India. One of the most satisfying moments was lying down in the leaf litter of an Indian woodland photographing this jumping spider. I had to stop down to f18 and use my macro ring flash. #India #spider #macro

It's just a Black-winged Kite watching me. It is a species I have seen lots of in several different countries. I shot this bird in South Africa's Klein Karoo near Ooutdshoorn. This week, on my third visit, with time looking approaching 11 hours, I finally added this species to my British list.
