I saw Alloy in the early 90s so it was great to hear those songs. They closed with AoF classics “5 O’Clock” and “What We Want is Free.”
Great to see Vic Bondi and His Issues last night at Slim’s. They played all 5 songs off their EP, a new one called “Just Die Already” (yes, please), and then a selection of songs from some of Vic’s many bands (Alloy, Dead Ending, Redshift, and, of course, Articles of Faith).

This backyard show is right by the flight path to the airport. Every two minutes of the Chloroforms set another jet flew by. I’ve never been distracted by airplanes at a punk show before.

I had an excellent game of Horus Heresy yesterday. I was playing loyalist Thousand Sons, who know that Magnus did more few things wrong.
Saw this great looking Trojan War game at Enfilade, a convention in Tacoma. The in theme dice rolling towers show the extra effort the GM put into this.
Last night I played a small learning game of Dystopian Wars, a Victorian science fiction naval wargame. My buddy Rick got the game and painted both fleets, so I just had to show up. It was fun and we’ll be playing again next week.

What a bunch of bollocks this article is (no, I’m not linking to it). The “complete franchise reinvention” of this comic is that the party is made up of monsters, an idea so revolutionary that it was done 50 fucking years ago in Metagaming’s Monsters! Monsters! RPG in 1976, and by D&D many times.

Kate cleaned and restuffed Selkie’s favorite bed. Ole Snorlax had gotten pretty flat so the girl is enjoying it.
Quesabirria tacos success! It took four and a half hours all told and I got a little sloppy at the end but they tasted great and there’s lots of shredded beef leftover. @nikchick.bsky.social made a side of calabacitas to go with it.
We need to make room in the freezer so I’ve defrosted a chuck roast and am attempting quesabirria tacos. It already smells good.
