It's time to play everybody's fave game "WTF FedEx?"

A formally square package that has been crushed, opened, and then, apparently, wadded up into a ball shape before being re-taped. I am reasonably certain an entire wheel of transparent packing tape was used.

A view of the same box from the slightly less wadded-up side. There are gouges, gaps, stains and wet spots on the mulchy carboard, beneath too many layers of poorly placed tape. Again, I cannot stress the sheer amount of tape. And it's not even over the holes and gouges in the box!

Same box; bottom view. It's open, with ripped and shredded cardboard flaps, that are NOT taped. A blue label from one of my items is peeking through the open space. That item had been hanging outside of the box when I retrieved it, I had to push it back to be able to carry the box inside.

More details not necessary to the image are below, if you want to read them:

Everything in the box was smooshed and weirdly wet. Nothing in the box should have been. It contained no liquids, no frozen stuff, no keep cold ice pack things.

It was expensive, never frozen gluten free bread that had, at one time, at least, clearly been carefully packed with dividers between & an extra layer of paper wrapped around each bagged loaf. I know because 1 still had that.
The other dividers & paper were wet and crumpled up in the corner of the box. I found the invoice and notes from the bakery, also wet and balled up, at the Top of the box--showing that everything had been taken out and then shoved back in with no regard.

I like the local virtual I Voted sticker for this election! 😃

My virtual I Voted sticker for Oregon's May 19, 2026 primary election.

The image is an outline of the state of Oregon. The left side is filled in by a bright blue. The color changes as it moves to the right, becoming lighter blue, then purple, before becoming red on the right side of the state. In the center of the state is a pinkish, mauve circle with 2 thin, transparent lines showing the purple background behind it, and inside that is another opaque pinkish mauve circle with white, bold, block text that reads: "I Voted!" A hashtag for LaneCoElections is in the bottom right corner.

I think this is brilliant design because it could be seen as a reference to how the state's Democrat voters, as well as a majority of its "leftists," generally, tend to live in western/left parts of the state, and the majority Republican voters are more concentrated in the east. The farther you go to the right of the state, the farther the move to the far right! LOL!

Also, it's sensorily appealing and it reminds me of a Pride flag.

The law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not. And frankly, changing course is in their own business interests since trust in legacy media has now fallen to an all time low of just 9% and are ratings disasters. The American people have subsidized broadcasters to the tune of billions of dollars by providing free access to the nation's airwaves. It is very important to bring trust back into media, which has earned itself the label of fake news.

This is NOT at or near my front door! I texted a neighbor to go reach it for me (these lockers are in the front building lobby, not even my building or floor), and it isn't there now 🤬

The "proof of delivery" photo I was texted, of a package on TOP of a dual block of parcel lockers in a corner behind the lobby of the OTHER building in my apartment complex, with the fire door to the right of them.

Not clearly shown in the photo are the signs reading: "Parcel carriers, DO NOT leave parcels outside of, or on top of mailboxes or parcel lockers!"

The top of the lockers is not only not reachable by me, it isn't by most people. And it is certainly not my "front door," where the delivery text claims my delivery was left.

Also, I texted my neighbor to reach it for me. She just went to check, and the package isn't there. Someone had already stolen it.

Photo down a road absolutely thick with tear gas. A sidewalk and 40 mph speed sign are visible in foreground on the left, but beyond that everything is just lingering gas. The right side of the street is all fog at ground level, though some tree branches are visible higher up the embankment.

Another photo of Very thick tear gas lingering. In the far, far distance, outlines of trees are barely visible, but only because they are at higher elevation on a rise. It isn't even possible to tell if this is a road or field because the tear gas obscuring everything.

On Friday January 23, 2026 the coldest day Minnesota has faced in seven years, the Saint Paul Federation of Educators joined our union siblings, workers and community members across the state in an economic blackout. No Work, No Shopping, No School.

Tens of thousands marched in dangerous sub-zero temperatures and rallied peacefully. People shared gloves, hand warmers, and hot coffee with strangers. No violence only care. Our message was clear: ICE is doing violence to our communities. ICE is not welcome here. ICE must leave.

This morning, just after 9AM, ICE gave us their response. They killed Alex Jeffrey Pretti - an ICU nurse, a caregiver, an observer. Alex stepped out of a donut shop, saw someone being harassed by ICE, and intervened to help.

Federal agents responded with tear gas, flash bangs, and so-called "less-than-lethal" munitions. And then with lethal force.

Educators & nurses share a unique bond. Both choose their professions out of care and compassion, quietly taking care of others and earning the trust of our community. They know we tell the truth & advocate for those who can't.

Alex was an ICU nurse & a union sibling. We will not forgive and forget his murder. The murder of Alex strengthens our opposition to ICE. We see you. We know you lie. We see your actions for what they are: dangerous, unchecked, and violently opposed to accountability.

We know that you hide your faces because what you are doing is wrong and evil. ICE has come to the wrong state. We will fight this occupation not with violence, but with solidarity and resolve. We will continue to observe, record, and oppose.

Happy birthday from my sister's cats. I call this photo "Sears Portrait Studio" 😂

Left is a very large fluffy handsome cat with grey stripey fur and all white neck floof. He looks like he only grudgingly agreed to be there to keep the peace.

Right is a mostly white short haired cat with black markings on his head that resemble a slicked back human hairstyle reminiscent of Hitler. He looks like he's definitely not into keeping the peace!

I have been receiving reports and evidence of First Nations people being racially targeted, assaulted, and detained by the federal agency Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE).

We want to remind our members to be safe and proactive by carrying with you at a minimum your tribal identification cards or a copy of your degree of Indian Blood. Our tribal identification affirms our citizenship and political status.

Our Nation is a sovereign government and our members are not immigrants. We are not subject to immigration enforcement on our own lands. Any federal activity within our boundaries must recognize and respect our tribal sovereignty, treaty obligations, and established jurisdictional boundaries.

Any ICE presence or activity within our lands is not authorized, not welcome, and will be addressed. Unauthorized personnel will be escorted off our lands.

I read this paragraph, and found myself thinking

My sister was fixing mom's storage chest and this photo fell out 💞 I remember when Mom looked like this, but I'm surprised to see this photo and realize how much like ME she looks here 😮 (because I think, and was always told/under the impression I resemble my Daddy much more strongly)
