One of the funniest and most unexpected YouTube notifications I've ever received, but also one of the coolest. So, here I lie, enthusiastically watching 57-year-old Barney Greenway angrily thrash around a tiny desk at 7:30 in the morning on a random Wednesday.
Life might not be perfect, but I had bourbon chicken, jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans and rice for dinner, and that certainly helps take the edge off a fair bit.
Just dropped my puppy off at the groomer and now have an hour to kill, so I'm enjoying the storm as I treat myself to pretzel and sesame seed bagels from Einstein Bros. I had no idea they also made beef-flavoured doggie bagels, so, naturally, I bought one for him as a treat. I hope he likes it.

Happy Dragon Quest VII Reimagined early access launch day to those who celebrate. I put dozens of hours into Dragon Quest/Warrior VII on PlayStation back in the early 2000s, and I adored all of the Reimagined demo. It's been great to see the series finally getting its flowers these past few years.

Steam Replay is out, and The Division series practically had a monopoly on my gaming time for the majority of 2025. Outside of Red Dead Redemption 2, I haven't been as consistently addicted to any game over the past few years as I have The Division 2. I even bought the novels and Audible Original.

After much procrastination, I've begun playing Cronos: The New Dawn. The dystopian atmosphere and ambient soundscapes are proving to be exquisite, but the true highlight thus far is that there are cats throughout the land to be discovered, petted, and documented. 10/10 game mechanic. No notes.
Just recalled this tweet I made back in 2020, and not only is it still true, but it's become increasingly more prevalent due to the infinite loop of AI discourse. There's also the minor detail that it's now almost always in Peggy Bundy's voice. C'est la vie.
Spotify Wrapped is nice, but Last.fm will always be a more accurate indication of my online listening habits at any given time. As usual, I was all over the map. This is also the first time in years that Depeche Mode and Judas Priest didn't make the cut—still listened to them a fair bit, though.
Diablo IV didn't hook me quite as much as I'd anticipated, but I'm still an unabashed lover of Lilith, to the point I even bought her Funko Pop and have never regretted it. 😆
For seemingly no apparent reason, YouTube has lately been pushing playthroughs of and retrospectives about Vagrant Story into my recommendations, so I'm hoping this is the universe signaling to me that a remaster and Steam port will be on its way in the not-too-distant future.

I always enjoy it when video games add holiday decorations and do special seasonal events, and The Division 2's Halloween Event hasn't disappointed at all. I'd slowly been getting burned out on playing it, but the spooky decorations and goings-on have made it feel fresh and fun again. 🎃
You know, I have to be honest and say that I'm not really vibing with the creative direction Disney is taking Star Wars these days.
