June passes and I'm a year older as the land freezes over and as the days edges expand to become longer I put on another jumper remembering the summertime I was born.
This fella, always looking for a break. Currawongs are the pick pockets of birds. This one's casing me but is also drenched, and not putting too much effort in. Fair enough because I'm getting wet as well and not stopping for too long.
I went outside yesterday as well, in the heavy rain, in the bush. I wanted to remember how my wet weather gear works. Turns out, it's not too bad. When the clouds cleared before sunset I was drying out with the residents in the open.
Satay sauced mushroom tofu with noodles for me, with beer and Saturday night community radio. They liked it.
