On the subject of price increases, coffee index has gone from 100 to 210 in 4 years! Frost in Brazil, shipping costs, energy for roasting, etc.
I’m shocked, but not surprised, by these figures. Should I be? Some are carers, but a lot are hanging around the streets, doing nothing.
Interesting graph. In a way I’m surprised that 50% are in work! Complicated picture, but I think a large part was their slow recovery from the pandemic and general feeling of powerlessness.
