This is for the USA. Similar charts exist for other industrialised countries. It wasn't the iPhone or TikTok that caused the fall in total fertility rates and no amount of pro-natalist comments will reverse this trend either

Ireland's population is set to increase by 1 million people by 2055. And we're one of the fastest ageing populations in the EU. We need to increase labour supply to meet housing & other infrastructure needs. Immigration is the obvious answer, but not easy ( incentives to have more kids never work)

Median wealth, although not perfect, is certainly better than GDP as measure of how prosperous a country is.

Couldn't agree more. Doonbeg is the only 5 star hotel in #Ireland I wouldn't set foot in. Plenty of better places to stay in Clare for any US tourists too, by the way Drooling Gregan's Castle The Armada Hotel Doolin
