Maybe just keep it simple and have the URL for your main mapping system at map.geohive.ie/ or geohive.ie/map? Why is that so hard? @tailteeireann.bsky.social
Because of the distance, angles involved, and the sun, it's hard to see exactly, but I think you can see them taking evasive action here with the turn of the bike. Just because they are not shaking their fist or sticking up their fingers, etc, afterwards does not mean it did not impact them.
Ah, feck... and even after loads of sanding, the smooth edges broke off while painting... It was never supposed to be perfect because of a splash back that's going up some time in the future...
Close, but not that close, then again Aldi trolleys end up in the car park here between Lidl and Dunnes and Aldi is further away...
Why on earth has Lidl replaced the glass jar version of these with a plastic jar? So much for them reducing plastic!
...why is Sinéad acting like it's shocking? We get talk of a "Shadow Government" and excuses for many political choices that eroded delivery capability. Politicians are not all-powerful, but in her article, they are portrayed as unwilling actors. She says "but it’s not like there was...
In her latest bit, Sinéad O’Sullivan talks about everything from the makeup of our State to the delivery of a metro in Dublin, as if no choices had been made by politicians. But these were documented choices. And 20% of the workforce being employed by the State would not be outside EU norms, so...
There's legitimate concerns about the speed and acceleration of "bicycle-like-objects" which are legally mopeds. Enforcement is really needed. But these are some of the types of people complaining to councillors that cyclists should be banned on Capel Street and Parliament Street.
After the 4th train of the day... home now. Great way to travel. Also I found this new thing where it's colder at night. I like this. Although it's supposed to get warmer here in Ballina than in Dublin this week and up to 26 degrees on Sunday! 🫠
International followers might think Irish intercity train tables are a waste of space, but there's nothing quite like a full table to travel with your family or work at on a train, or a trip with friends, etc. It makes a 3.5+ hours trip more bearable. Talk that @eurostarnews.bsky.social
I hope all the EU delegates are having a great time in Ballina... Thankfully the helicopter which it feels like has been constantly circling for the last hour has stopped!
Yeah, I don't get it. The only thing I can think of is that it will not be just a turning circle, and that they want access from the south for some reason... maybe they are two steps ahead of everybody else and want it before the access via beside the promenade is cut off from the bridge building.
On the other side of Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork City Council is building an urban dual carragway that is planned to eventally take up even more urban green space from the park when it is linked with a bridge across the River Lee. Why not place the coach access beside the new road?
Clearly an overpowered scooter, but the neck of some people -- it's not a motorway, it's also illegal to drive with a phone or other distractions, and the speed limit here is 80km/h not 100km/h, so it looks like the scooter guy isn't the only one breaking the law.
I thought the reasons given here against transparency were so daft I put in an AIE request on this...
Let's be honest, the Strategic Gas Reserve Bill never made any sense, but two things make it clearer that it makes less sense now: (1) The price shocks this year. (2) The improvements in battery storage have reached the point that they are having this effect in Victoria, Australia:
This is in reply to somebody who suggested the turf cutting might be illegal:
