On this D Day Anniversary, I send thanks to all of the soldiers who were there (including my FIL-later stages). This is some of the more than 400 gold stars and the reflecting pool at the WWII memorial. Each star represents 100 deaths. #DDay

This was my MIL's cookbook. It was given to her at her bridal shower in 1950. It was published 1n 1946. I bet it has a few winners in it.

From 1983- Fred Bird at old Busch Stadium, the stadium from the top pf the Arch, and Grant's Cabin on the Busch Estate, where they raise the Clydesdales. Yes, we got to see them close up. My aunt used to get us really good tickets to games.

It was an overall look at what Japanese Americans went through during WWII. It won a local Emmy. I didn't belong to the Academy, and I reused to pay $100 to get a statue, I settled for a certificate.

I did this for my son when he was born. I did a merry go round for my daughter. This type of embroidery is called crewel. And it is.
