I’m proud to co-lead and introduce the Protecting Childcare from Private Equity Act with @reprileyny.bsky.social. This bill protects childcare providers from the negative effects of private fund investment.
At this week’s House Small Business Committee hearing, I voiced my concerns that Trump's tariffs are hurting small businesses. In a Small Business Majority survey, 88% of businesses reported that the cost of raw goods and materials has increased this year.
Republican leadership again chose to poison a bipartisan bill by pushing rightwing culture war amendments and a voter suppression bill in the NDAA. I work everyday to ensure our servicemembers and military families receive the care they need.
This speed enforcement amendment is a move in the wrong direction. In fact, even the Department of Defense opposes it. Speed cameras are a basic safety component on our bases and there's not a single shred of credible evidence to support their removal.
Trump’s illegal war on Iran has only made life harder for the American people. Gas prices are sky-high and getting worse. I joined @c-span.bsky.social to call for an exit strategy to end this unpopular, expensive war.
This week, the Secretary of Defense announced his full support for gender affirming care for our male servicemembers. Now, House Republicans are pushing an amendment that bans gender-affirming care for our servicemembers and their dependents. It’s complete hypocrisy.
More guns does not make us more safe. I was proud to speak against this problematic amendment that undermines Military Leadership and puts our servicemembers and their families at heightened risk of firearm violence.
Today, I met with Small Business Majority Founder and CEO John Arensmeyer to discuss the important advocacy they do for small business owners across the country. I'm proud to support their mission to empower our entrepreneurs.
As a House Small Business Committee member, I introduced the bipartisan SBA IT Modernization Reporting Act to ensure the SBA's technology meets the needs of our small businesses.
Since 2025, ICE has killed at least 6 people in reckless and unlawful tragedies, including recent victims in Maine and Texas. They deserve justice and an independent investigation into their deaths.
On the anniversary of the Seneca Falls Convention, I'm proud to join the Democratic Women’s Caucus and ERA Caucus in reaffirming my commitment to advancing the Equal Rights Amendment.
I joined the San Gabriel Valley Council of Government Officers to survey progress on critical highway improvement projects in and around CA-31. I’m proud to champion these infrastructure upgrades and I’ll always work hard to advocate for our district.
It was a pleasure to present the Swing Bays with a certificate of Congressional recognition for their upcoming grand opening. This indoor golf training facility will be a welcome addition to our local CA-31 businesses. No ifs, ands, or putts about it!
After challenges getting her passport authorized ahead of a trip, Brittany asked for help from my office. My staff followed up with the agency and thanks to their dedicated assistance, they got her passport approved in time.
Thanks to the U.S. Hispanic Business Council for hosting me at their fireside chat this week. Our Latino small business owners work hard and I’m proud to champion their growth and success in Congress. Everyone deserves access to the foundation they need to turn their dreams into a reality.
Trump used his speech tonight to repeat baseless claims about election fraud and sow distrust among the American people. While he’s busy undermining our democracy, I’m championing voting rights and fighting to ensure every American can make their voices heard in our elections.
It was an honor joining the National Veteran Small Business Coalition today for their Congressional breakfast. As a Navy veteran and member of the House Small Business Committee, I’m proud to champion our veteran entrepreneurs and advocate for policies that help their businesses grow and succeed.
As a Navy veteran and member of @democrats-armedservices.house.gov, I’m proud to advocate for policies that improve our sailors’ living conditions.
Small business owners deserve better guidance on how to use artificial intelligence. I co-sponsored the bipartisan AI WISE Act and AI For Main Street Act to address this need.

Last week, I joined my Democratic colleagues to demand Secretary Hegseth reinstate flu vaccine mandates for our servicemembers. The flu outbreak at Lackland Air Force Base is a direct consequence of his repeal. Any policy affecting our servicemembers’ quality of life should be guided by science.
This July, we celebrate Disability Pride Month! To everyone living with physical and mental disabilities in CA-31 and across our country, I’m proud to champion your right to live in a society built on equity, inclusion, and accessibility for all.
Happy 4th of July weekend to everyone in CA-31! I celebrated our Independence Day by attending celebrations in San Dimas, Duarte, La Verne, and West Covina, and sharing what I believe makes America so special. Our shared rights to freedom, equality, and the pursuit of happiness.
On the 250th anniversary of our democracy, I’m proud to honor what makes our country great. We are a nation of immigrants led forward by our unwavering commitment to live up to our founding principles of liberty and justice for all.
