Our second ever Birch Mocha and Lesser-spotted Pinion (I think) ✔️. Frustratingly, as I looked out of the kitchen window an enormous Moth was flushed from the mahonia by a bird. Not Hawk-moth shaped. I'm leaning towards a Catocala sp #teammoth

So, the light went off at 3am again. I had charged the old battery with the new charger, so it's obviously not the charger. I have time today to fully charge the new battery. Amazingly, one of the four moths that were still in the trap was this Small Ranunculus ✔️😊 #teammoth
The trap decided to behave overnight and was quite busy this morning. Our second ever Swallow-tailed Moth for the garden was a bit worse for wear. Scalloped Oak is always welcome and Poplar Hawk-moth seems to be doing well this year #teammoth
The battery gets an awful lot of use. I have ordered a new battery and charger to be on the safe side. Weirdly, it ran out of juice Monday night, was fine Tuesday night and only lasted just over four hours last night 🤔
