I was also glad to share how the recently enacted bipartisan housing law, including rural housing provisions I authored with Rep. Zach Nunn, will help expand housing opportunities in rural communities while addressing housing needs across Missouri.

It was a pleasure welcoming this year’s MO Ag Leadership of Tomorrow cohort to Capitol Hill. Their passion for agriculture and rural Missouri gives me confidence in the future of our state’s agricultural industry.

I also enjoyed sitting down with members of the MO Corn Board Directors to discuss the importance of year-round E15 and the role biofuels play in strengthening our energy independence, creating markets for Missouri farmers, and supporting rural economies.

Great meeting with FCS Financial, Missouri’s largest agricultural lender, to discuss the importance of passing a strong, bipartisan Farm Bill ensuring farmers have reliable access to credit they need to keep feeding, fueling, and growing our economy.

History teaches us that constitutional rights are rarely lost all at once - they’re chipped away slowly, one exception, one excuse, one precedent at a time. That’s why I took to the House floor yesterday to defend the 14th Amendment and the freedoms it guarantees.

Trump’s war of choice isn’t just costing lives abroad, it’s costing Missouri families at home.   Since March, hardworking Missouri households have paid  $524 more at pump. Families already feel the financial squeeze – that’s money that could have gone toward groceries, rent, childcare, or savings.

In April, Republicans gave ICE $20 million for body cameras. Then in June, Republicans handed the agency another $38 billion. ICE doesn’t need another dollar, it needs to be held accountable for terrorizing our communities.

In 250 years, when future generations unearth the Congressional Time Capsule from beneath the U.S. Capitol, they’ll find this photo encapsulating what inspired Missourians in 2026. I was glad to lead the MO delegation in making this submission of Patrick Mahomes on behalf of our great state.

$73 billion for war. $10 billion for election interference. $0 to reverse cuts to Medicaid. $0 to restore SNAP benefits to nearly 1.5M hungry kids. $0 to make life more affordable for you. The Republican budget tells you exactly where their priorities lie.

The 14th Amendment changed America. It guaranteed birthright citizenship, enshrined equal protection, and laid the legal foundation for generations of civil rights victories. Today, 158 years later, that promise is under siege.

Great to spend time yesterday with the dedicated team at Seton Center KC . From their safety-net dental clinic and food pantry to their new children’s mental health program, they’re making a real difference for Kansas City families every single day.

We’re trusting this man with decisions of war and peace.

Trump called making housing more affordable a “big yawn.” I call it one of the most important challenges facing working families. We passed a bipartisan, bicameral housing bill. It’s time for the President to sign it.

This is not the flex he thinks it is. Americans need serious, steady leadership, not reckless rhetoric.

Reconciliation 3.0? They just cut health care and food assistance to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy. Working families haven’t even recovered from Reconciliation 1.0 and now they want another $350 billion.

Dr. Oz math: A $1 trillion cut somehow becomes “$200 billion more.” Americans can do the math. And they’ll be the ones paying the price when hospitals close, nursing homes struggle, and millions lose health care. The numbers don’t lie, even if this administration does.

Imagine saying this to the nurse working a double shift. To the warehouse worker pulling overtime. To the teacher with a second job. To the parent working two jobs and still struggling to afford groceries or the roof over their head.

July is Disability Pride Month, a time to celebrate the achievements, contributions, and leadership of people with disabilities. This month, we reject disability stigma and ableism and will come together in service of ensuring an accessible and inclusive society.

🇺🇸 The U.S. is celebrating 250. Americans are paying 20% more.   That’s not the American Dream. 4th of July cookout staples are soaring in price and families are feeling it at the grocery store, the gas pump, and the checkout line.

Republicans called it “beautiful.” Families call it higher costs. Patients call it lost coverage. Parents call it empty grocery carts. I call it exactly what it is: the Big UGLY Law.
