Just finished Kate Spencer’s lovely funny super relatably sad memoir/book on grief. Loved loved your mom’s poem, Kate. My horror novels and movie selections have been Mom related for the last year and this is the second memoir of that theme (Everyone read ‘Crying in H Mart’ too, please) this yr.
#booksky #overhyped books from booktok etc suggestions. Some potential and parts were good or interesting and the influences were more obvious than a Mack Truck (Vicky psycho notwithstanding since it’s supposed to be an homage) but I am continuously surprised by what is mainstream OOO SO SCARY. ;)
More like 2.5? It’s fine, definitely overhyped. Last fourth kind of puttered out and seems a bit sus on how the ending was handled, considering the driving action to the lead up and the Reports/testimonies on the Situation.
#booksky so if Stephen king wrote lord of the flies I guess? After watching Slither? :/ I was fine with it tho the whole arming signs were coming til I got to the midway point and Shelly got even worse. Definitely not sure why That was all necessary. It was horror enough already.
