Artist, scientist, wanderer. Grasping at dreams I refuse to abandon. Blindly pursuing classical animation without much in the way of rigid instruction or guidance. Sooner or later, it's all going to work out.
Good god that was a terrible idea. It was worth a try but I think it will die in the combat system development room with the other placeholder art. Colorful, though.
It's mind blowing how awesome it was that the toys came with these campy comics. I liked it as a kid, but as an adult these are the best things I kept from childhood.
Finally working on a real character design. One way or another, this cartoon is happening. I will need a voice eventually. #art
Kinda fell off uploading these, but if anybody was wondering what happened after page 2, here's page 3. Working on character sheets for these cats today. This show needs to be made and I've been messing around too much.
Identities for the Jacobi elliptic functions go on and on. Interesting note: the Jacobi functions sit between the circular sines and cosines and the hyperbolic functions. A limit in either direction reduces to those. This is going to serve as the basis for my indie game quantum system.
I wanna make this thing. Research station from Starfield. Everybody needs a science station at home. There's no good reason that computers need to be tailored just for doomscrolling. This ain't even an advanced system!
This is a Gerber Scale. It's a stretchy ruler for measuring on physical paper graphs. It works better than most slop software and it works on almost any graph. Software companies let us down. Emabrace the old style. We can fix this world.
Somewhere along the way I stopped being who I was and was washed downstream by the flood. But I was always some weird scientist. And as such, I am approaching game design and art from what I consider the fundamentals. Coming back to this book, for starters. (Please encourage me. I'm unstable.)
Just ran across this old early drawing of the kitty cat team Sherlock Holmes crossover. This is probably from circa 2015.
In order for this to be accurate, the Technodrome would need a wing of seamstress foot soldiers making outfits for all the warriors.
Okay I got the shot done. This is a weird sci-fi egg thing to try and work out an old school backlighting effect. Whaddya think? Feedback appreciated. #animation #indieanimation
This is a character sheet I did for one of the peacocks in an animated short I am working on. It was really my first time digitally painting anything. I think it came out good. I'll probably do better on the next one. #art #indieanimation
Another tree in the real world that looks like I drew it for a video game.
I got the shot done and sent it off to my fx sorceress. Stay tuned for the final shot! Prolly this week. This is an effect test and if it works, backlighting unlocked.
Need help. If have information on the whereabouts of this painting, please let me know. I want it back. I threw it out on the curb years ago and somebody took it home. But I miss it (I didn't paint it).
Work in progress for a peacock character. I'm not great with digital painting but I thought this was a kinda cool draft.
Y'all probably can't tell from this storyboard, but this is going to be an amazing shot once I make it a full animation.
If you're and artist or game dev, just remember to go outside and experience the world. I found this bolt of red ivy growing from a crack, blowing in the wind, and it just looks like it would make an awesome level detail in a game environment.
Here's page 2 of the comic ai started back in 2015. All these cats are real cats. For all I know this all happened in real life one night. The only one still living is Shaman, but he doesn't show up for three more pages.
I wanted to make this while undersea pool table animation in 2003. This was the only moving test before I sold out to the corporate world.
This was a more recent scene. Probably 2005. It was supposed to be a radar boat in a walnut shell, ona slice of water.
Here's some more renders from 2003, blender 2.whatever. The images are so old that the date stamp on the images is gone.
Getting all nostalgic. Here are some 3D models I made in blender 2.43. I made circa 2003, when I was first learning things.
So what I'm doing is making a trailer cutting together all the cartoons that I haven't made but want to. And what's cool is that some of these characters I have never drawn before. So I'm seeing them develop for the first time on the storyboard timeline. And it's kind of inspiring.
Managed to pull myself out of the sad and rough-board out my animation channel trailer. Lots more to go but at least I have a skeleton.
