Saw this posted on Instagram & very quickly unfollowed the "relationship expert" who posted it. "The universe will never give you something you are not ready for"?!? Uh, yeah it will, dude. I wasn't ready for my fiance to die suddenly at 34 years of age, so...yeah. Stop telling people this shit.
From The Glimmer journal by Deb Dana. So, this is a description of my formative years. (Oh BTW I had a lot of traumatic things happen in adulthood too.) And that last sentence?!? NO SHIT DEB. But at the same time—this is where I get like...I am SO. FUCKING. ANGRY.
@realkidvicious.bsky.social on #NYPDBlue claiming for all his might to not be the murderer.
While Christina Aguilera sings What a Wonderful World, @barackobama.bsky.social closes his eyes in obvious appreciation. 💜💜💜 #ObamaPresidentialCenter
I've been wanting to go to this for literal decades. And lilacs are my fave— favorite flower, favorite scent. And—the day after tomorrow, a friend and I are going. Can't wait. 💜
At the risk of being pedantic, they didnt call themselves that. TGG only became the moniker for that generation after Tom Brokaw published this book.

"She had assumed I would forget and made punchline out of my struggles...." People: don't ever do this. (Regardless of what condtion a person has.) Quote and pictured passage from Your Brain's Not Broken: Strategies for Navigating Your Emotions and Life with ADHD by Dr. Tamara Rosier.
They also succeeded wildly in portraying a thing rare if not absent on television then and even now (thpug perhaps to a lesser extent): healthy, present Black fatherhood. And it had a positive effect well beyond mere entertainment.
Nichelle Nichols did so much recruitment work for the space program, they made a documentary about it. Highly recommended.

In case this helps.... ⬇️ (The "and its people" tends to get left out of headlines--including from The Nation's own story about it! 🤦♀️)
Also: "I am not obligated to smile ever. I am allowed to have whatever expressions happen on my face, and they may or may not reflect what I'm actually feeling. And whether they do or don't is my business, not yours." And: "Policing women's facial expessions is misogynist. Don't do that."
I mean...you guys do know about this, right? From #HBO's #Succession. Highlight mine.
I mean, I'm gonna need a tight, side-by-side facial shot of @jacobsoboroff.bsky.social and #StephenColbert. #Doppelgangers @colbertlateshow.bsky.social
