Went for a walk with ecologist daughter in Somerset countryside and she immediately spotted a Wol #owl
I just had a weird moment. I went for a walk earlier and found some nice butterflies to log and I was thinking I hadn’t seen a silver washed fritillary for years. I went to do some painting in my shed and this little chap flew in to say hello!
Irishman called to me to come and look at the parrot in the tree. Dear reader it was a green woodpecker. I do have a lot of ants -hopefully he’s found them (the woodpecker not the Irishman) Fun fact of the day -there are no green woodpeckers in Ireland.
My neighbours passionfruit vine has rambled over the fence into my garden! I love the flowers!
So many Gatekeeper butterflies in my garden, they are very fast and small, difficult to get a good shot of them.
I’m missing the chilled out pace of Donegal. I really love it there. I’m pretty lucky I have a home in Cornwall but being able to use the Irishman’s house in Donegal is a bonus.
Back in Cornwall -garden is like a beautiful jungle, it’s gone bonkers!
