Ironically the hottest scene in the book IMO isn't even between Mina and Dracula. In this version John Seward has the hots for Mina and there's a scene where he's showing her around his asylum and he offers to let her try on a straitjacket. We then get a bondage-coded scene with some crazy tension
I read Dracula in Love by Karen Essex because I thought it could give me more wolhesperos brainworms. It was Just Okay. I did enjoy the pseudo-Victorian era purple prose because I love it when books strongly establish its scenery and atmosphere, which this one did well. But the sex/romance was...meh
